Porcelain Veneers in Greenwich: Porcelain Veneers

Thin porcelain shells, fixed to the visible surface of your teeth, alter their shape and colour and even up an irregular line. We design every smile on screen, and you try it on in the chair before we prepare any tooth.

Each porcelain veneer starts at £650, so a set of six is from £3,900, or from £325 monthly with no interest.4 The fee already includes your smile design and trial smile. Consultations are free with a refundable £40 deposit, at our practice on Greenwich Peninsula, a few minutes on foot from North Greenwich.

Porcelain or Composite?

Either one can change a smile completely. The real differences are how long each lasts and how much natural tooth it needs.

Where Greenwich and SE London practices publish their fees, porcelain veneers run from roughly £500 to £2,000 a tooth, mostly £850 to £950, and few make clear whether design, temporaries and a review are part of the price. Whitening the neighbouring teeth beforehand, if they need it, is £350. Treatment of £1,500 or more can be paid over 12 months with no interest, subject to status.4 Fees last checked October 2026.

How It Works

From design to fitting usually takes three to four weeks.

1

Smile Design

We start with photos, video and a 3D scan, then design your new smile around your face.

2

Trial Smile

We place a temporary mock-up over your own teeth, so you see the result and approve it first.

3

Preparation

We prepare the enamel minimally and fit temporary veneers while the porcelain ones are made.

4

Fitting

We bond the porcelain veneers in place, then check and polish them.

What Veneers Can Fix

Veneers can alter both the shape and the colour of a tooth. Where teeth are crowded, straightening comes first, which usually means preparing less tooth.

Stubborn Discolouration

Stains that whitening won't lift, or one tooth that has darkened.

Chips and Worn Edges

Chipped or worn-down edges built back up.

Gaps

Brings the front teeth together where small gaps show.

Uneven Shape or Size

Short, small or oddly shaped teeth brought into proportion.

Slightly Uneven Teeth

Masks minor irregularities. Bigger ones respond better to straightening first.

Old Veneers or Bonding

Tired, worn or stained restorations swapped for a fresh design.

When Something Else Is Better

Teeth that are crowded or crooked: straighten with Invisalign first, and add veneers only if still needed
Colour is your only concern: whitening first, or in place of veneers
Minor chips or gaps: composite bonding needs little or no preparation
Untreated decay or gum disease: we treat that beforehand so your veneers last

Caring for Your Veneers

Brush morning and night, and clean between your teeth daily
Keep coming to your dental examinations and hygiene visits
If you grind your teeth, protect them with a night guard
Don't bite pens, nails or ice
Porcelain itself rarely stains, though tea, coffee and smoking can still mark the edges

Choosing Your Shade and Shape

Rather than coming from a chart, your veneers are designed to suit your face.

The shade is chosen to suit your complexion, your eyes and the teeth beside them
Bright doesn't have to look false. You see the options on photos of your own smile
Each tooth is shaped to suit your face, your lips and your smile line
A trial smile lets you wear the design in your mouth, and anything you're unsure of gets changed

How Many Veneers Do You Need?

The answer comes down to the width of your smile. A typical smile shows six to ten upper teeth, and veneers normally cover those visible teeth. If one tooth is dark or chipped, one or two veneers matched to the others may be enough.

The smile design pinpoints which teeth would change, and before any preparation your written plan lists the fee tooth by tooth.
