Dentists

Dr Imran Riaz

Dentist

BDS, MClinDent Oral Surgery (Eastman)

Dental implants, All-on-4 and full-arch treatment, and oral surgery: surgical and wisdom tooth extractions, sinus lift surgery, endodontic surgery and conscious sedation for anxious patients.

Imran is an experienced oral surgeon with over 13 years dedicated to oral surgery. He holds a BDS and an MClinDent in Oral Surgery, completed through advanced training at the Eastman Dental Institute, London.

At Peninsula Dentists he plans and places the practice's implants, from single teeth to All-on-4 and full-arch treatment, using the on-site CT scanner, MegaGen AnyRidge implants and R2 guided surgery.

He manages everything from routine surgical extractions to complex implant cases with sinus augmentation. His surgical work covers impacted, partially erupted and complex wisdom teeth, buried or fractured teeth and retained roots, each planned carefully with appropriate imaging to minimise discomfort and support a smooth recovery; single and multiple implants, with sinus lift surgery where bone height in the upper jaw is limited; and endodontic surgery, including apicectomy, for teeth with persistent infection after root canal treatment, which often allows a tooth to be saved rather than extracted.

Patients benefit from a calm, unhurried manner, clear explanations and the option of conscious sedation, for nervous and phobic patients and for longer or more involved procedures. Referring colleagues can expect timely, well-documented care and clear communication at every stage.

Imran welcomes referrals for impacted wisdom teeth, buried teeth and retained roots; single or multiple implants, including cases needing sinus augmentation; teeth with persistent infection after root canal treatment; and anxious patients who would benefit from sedation.

General and aesthetic dentistry, porcelain veneers and smile makeovers, Invisalign, composite bonding, root canal treatment and care for nervous patients.

Pei graduated from Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry in 2019. He is fluent in English, Mandarin and Malay, which lets him connect with a wide range of patients and tailor treatment plans to each person.

Pei is deeply committed to advancing his knowledge and skills. He has completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Advanced Aesthetic Restorative Dentistry, the Ultimate Denture Course and a Masterclass in Aesthetic Dentistry, and is currently studying for a Postgraduate Certificate in Endodontics and a Diploma in Aligner Orthodontics. He also plans and provides the practice's porcelain veneers and smile makeovers, starting from a digital smile design you try in your mouth before any tooth is prepared.

He believes that building a strong relationship and working together with each patient is the key to effective, patient-centred care, and he is skilled at managing dental anxiety, helping nervous patients feel relaxed and comfortable during their visits.
