Veneer Costs, Greenwich

Fees per tooth, totals for a whole smile, what is covered, what changes the price, how to judge one quote against another, and paying in instalments.

The short answer

How Much Are Veneers in Greenwich?

Porcelain veneers at Peninsula Dentists on Greenwich Peninsula start at £650 a tooth, and composite veneers at £375 a tooth. For composite there are also set prices covering four to ten teeth, from £1,550 to £3,950, each including whitening. A typical smile involves six to ten teeth. You pay nothing extra for the smile design or trial smile, your fee is confirmed in writing after a free consultation, and anything from £1,500 can be paid monthly with Chrysalis Finance, interest free for 6 or 12 months, subject to status.

All figures are guide prices.2 The "from" fee is for a straightforward tooth; teeth needing extra work can cost more, and every tooth is priced individually in your written plan before preparation starts. Porcelain veneers are planned by Dr Pei Xian Chen, scanned with the iTero Element and crafted by a dental laboratory, and they involve removing a fine layer of enamel. Composite veneers are layered by hand in one or two sittings by Dr Pei Xian Chen, with the enamel barely touched. That difference in work is why composite is cheaper, and also why it wears out sooner. For a full comparison, see our porcelain or composite guide.

How Greenwich compares. Among the practices around Greenwich and SE London we checked in October 2026, published porcelain veneer prices start at about £500 to £550 a tooth, cluster between £850 and £950, and reach £1,095 to £2,000 at the top end. Some quote for a set rather than a tooth, some do not say which material they use, and most are silent on whether the smile design, temporaries and review are included. Ours starts at £650 a tooth with the smile design and trial smile built in, which places it below the typical local band, and your written plan lists everything the fee covers before any tooth is prepared.

The Cost of a Full Set

Number of teethComposite packagePorcelain, from
4£1,550£2,600
6£2,350£3,900
8£3,150£5,200
10£3,950£6,500

Composite sets are charged at our bonding package rates, and each package comes with whitening, a review and a finishing polish.2 The porcelain figures just multiply the per-tooth guide fee, so treat them as a floor. Six to ten upper teeth are visible in most people's smiles, which is why that is the usual range. Occasionally a single veneer or a pair is enough to bring one discoloured or chipped tooth into line, and your smile design shows which applies.

Over 12 months at 0%, six porcelain veneers from £3,900 come to from £325 monthly; ten would be from £542 monthly.4

What the Fee Includes

  • Your consultation, free of charge; the £40 deposit comes back after you attend
  • Photos, video and a digital iTero Element scan in place of putty
  • A smile design built on images of your face, and a trial smile to preview it
  • Temporaries to wear while the laboratory makes your porcelain
  • The fitting itself, a polish and a follow-up review
  • A fixed fee in writing, which stays the same once treatment is under way

Whitening is already part of every composite package. For porcelain, if you would like the surrounding teeth lighter before the shade is matched, Boutique home whitening is £350 and Enlighten, which guarantees a B1 shade, is £650.2 Grinders may also want a custom night guard, from £135.

What Pushes the Price Up or Down

The total mostly comes down to five things.

  • How wide you smile. A broad smile can show eight or ten teeth that need covering; a narrower one, perhaps six.
  • Porcelain or composite. Laboratory-made porcelain carries a higher fee per tooth, and in return it outlasts composite.
  • Work needed first. Any decay, gum problems or failing fillings on the front teeth are sorted out beforehand, each listed as its own item in the plan.
  • Aligning the teeth. Invisalign adds to the timescale and the bill, but straighter teeth frequently need fewer or slimmer veneers.
  • Lightening. Built into composite packages, or £350 for Boutique whitening on its own.

A strikingly cheap quote may reflect lower-grade materials, little planning or no trial smile, so find out what is included before you compare.

Comparing Quotes Like for Like

Quotes are rarely built on the same basis. Before setting one total against another, check that each provider has put the following in writing:

  • Whether the price is per tooth or for a set, and for how many teeth
  • Whether the treatment is veneers or crowns. Much overseas "veneer" work turns out to be crowns, which take away far more tooth
  • How much enamel will be removed, and whether a trial smile comes first
  • Whether the design, temporaries, fitting and review are included
  • Which material is used and which laboratory makes it
  • The process and cost if a veneer chips or debonds
  • Whether the fee is fixed before any treatment begins

Any good practice will give you these answers readily. For the extra points to check with an overseas clinic, read our treatment abroad guide.

Based on treatment costing £5,000 with no deposit, repaid over 60 months. Acceptance is subject to status. Terms and conditions apply.

Cheaper Routes Than Veneers

A full set of veneers is not always necessary, and the cheaper treatment can be the better one. When colour is all that bothers you, whitening alters it and leaves everything else alone: Boutique home whitening is £350 and Enlighten £650. A chipped corner, a small gap or a ragged edge can be rebuilt with edge bonding from £375 a tooth, barely touching the enamel. Crowding and crookedness are usually better solved with Invisalign, from £1,795 including whitening and Vivera retainers, and that alone can make veneers unnecessary.2

There are also smiles where one or two veneers, blending a single dark or misshapen tooth with the rest, do more good than a full set. The consultation is about finding the smallest amount of treatment that delivers what you want.

Getting a Fixed Price

Start by booking a free consultation; your £40 deposit is returned once you have been. Set aside around ninety minutes for the smile design appointment, which includes photographs, a 3D scan and the digital design. Afterwards you receive a written plan listing the teeth involved, the price of each, the sequence and the overall total, and that total stands once you choose to go ahead. Should something unexpected come up, we talk it over before taking any step that would affect the fee.

You are under no obligation. Lots of people book simply to learn what is possible and what it would cost, and make up their minds later. If you need to cancel or move the appointment, please give us 48 hours' notice. We are a short walk from North Greenwich station and The O2.

Questions

Do plan members get a discount on veneers? No. Veneers, like bonding, implants and Invisalign, are not covered by the plan discount. Membership still brings its other benefits, including regular hygiene visits, which are one of the best ways to keep veneers and the gums around them healthy.
Is the veneer consultation free?Yes. We take a £40 deposit to hold the appointment and refund it once you have attended. A written plan and fixed fee go home with you, and you can take as long as you like to decide. If you need to cancel or move it, 48 hours' notice is required.
Should I whiten before veneers? If you would like a lighter shade overall, yes. Porcelain and composite never change colour once made, so the natural teeth are whitened first and the veneers matched to the new shade. Whitening comes with composite packages; on its own, Boutique is £350 and Enlighten £650.
Why do porcelain prices start with "from"?Because no two teeth are the same. £650 is the guide fee for an uncomplicated porcelain veneer. Teeth that need more work, or that have old fillings or crowns to replace first, may cost more, and every tooth is priced in your written plan beforehand.
Are veneers cheaper abroad? The advertised figure often is. Once you add flights, hotels, time off work and any aftercare or repairs in London, the gap narrows, and much overseas veneer work is in fact crowns. Our treatment abroad guide sets out what to ask before booking.
What does one veneer cost? From £650 in porcelain or from £375 in composite. Single veneers are normally for one discoloured, chipped or oddly shaped tooth, and shade matching and a trial smile become even more important, because that tooth has to sit invisibly among its neighbours.
