Same day teeth, also called teeth in a day or same day dental implants, means your implants go in and a fixed temporary bridge is screwed onto them before you go home, where your bone allows. At Peninsula Dentists on Greenwich Peninsula, London SE10, it is planned on our own CT scanner and carried out by oral surgeon Dr Imran Riaz.
Same-Day Fixed Teeth is £13,500 per arch, and Premium Guided Zirconia £14,950.2 The consultation is free and includes your CT scan, with the £20 deposit returned once you attend. IV sedation is available on the day.

What Same Day Teeth Means
If most or all of your teeth in one jaw are failing, or you already wear a full denture, same day teeth replaces the whole arch in one long appointment. Any remaining teeth are removed, four to six implants are placed, and a fixed temporary bridge is screwed onto them later the same day. It does not come out, so you never go home with a gap or a loose denture.
People also call it fast and fixed: fast because you leave with teeth on surgery day, fixed because only the dental team can remove them. The temporary bridge is lighter and simpler than your final teeth, and is built to protect the implants while they fuse with the bone. About three months later, once they are solid, your permanent bridge is made from a new digital scan and fitted in its place.
Fixed teeth in a day are never promised in advance. They depend on how firmly each implant holds once it is in, which Dr Riaz measures during surgery. If they cannot be fitted that day, you wear a temporary denture while you heal, and your pathway fee does not change.1

The Day Itself
Most of the work happens before you arrive: the implant positions and your temporary bridge are planned from your CT scan.
Arrive and Settle
Local anaesthetic numbs the area, and most people add IV sedation, so they feel deeply relaxed and remember little afterwards.
Extractions and Implants
Any remaining teeth are removed and Dr Riaz places four to six MegaGen AnyRidge implants where the 3D plan sets them. On the Premium pathway a custom R2 surgical guide is printed from that plan.
Each Implant Checked
The stability of every implant is measured. If they hold firmly enough, the temporary bridge can be fitted.
Fixed Temporary Teeth
Your bridge is screwed onto the implants and the bite adjusted, usually later the same day.
Home, Then Soft Food
An adult takes you home if you had sedation. Soft food for about three months, with reviews until your final bridge.
Price and What It Includes
Two of our four full-arch pathways include same day teeth. Both cover your assessment, the CT scan and digital records, 3D planning, extractions, routine grafting, four to six implants, the fixed temporary teeth where the bone allows, your final bridge and reviews until treatment ends, with a five-year guarantee for non-smokers who keep up three-monthly hygiene visits.
Healed Foundation (£9,300) and Staged Treatment (£11,500) cost less, but you wear a denture while the implants heal rather than fixed teeth. Dr Riaz tells you which pathways suit your mouth once he has seen your scan.
Treatment from £1,500 can be spread through Chrysalis Finance at 14.9% APR representative, subject to status.5

Sedation on the Day
Same day teeth is a long appointment, so most people choose IV sedation. Dr Riaz gives it himself, which means the person planning your surgery also plans your sedation, and a second trained team member monitors you throughout.
